Bates seat:
no rips or tears. the leather is very soft. i have not conditioned the seat yet.
the line you see on the top side is not a rip or crack/tear. it's just a mark.
the white line thingy on it looks like a water stain that will come out just fine when conditioned.
the spring mounting studs are gone,but done well. an easy fix with a TIG and welding blanket. done it a few times with no problems.
this is by far one of the better bates seats i have had.
This seat came off of an old WR model hillclimber out of Canada.

seat has been conditioned now and the leather is very nice and dark with patina also.

i snagged the pic from a dudes photobucket in hopes someone will recognize and know who had this tank for sale at the show. Did it sell? is it still available?
it's the sporty tank with the trippy paint scheme on it in the middle.
